[News] Huawei Unveils Pura 90 Pro Max with HyperSpace Memory, 12GB RAM Said to Match 16GB Performance
Huawei has launched its latest products, with its self-developed HyperSpace Memory technology drawing attention. According to MyDrivers, Huawei Executive Director Richard Yu states that the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max will fully support this “super memory” feature. He notes that while the device is equipped with 12GB of physical memory, it can deliver a user experience comparable to 16GB in terms of app retention and background performance.
Based on key data released at the launch event, the report indicates that HyperSpace Memory technology improves the phone’s memory compression ratio by as much as 69%. This enables more efficient memory management, freeing up capacity to support a greater number of simultaneous applications.
In addition, the report notes that app retention has improved by 100%, addressing the issue of background apps being frequently cleared during multitasking and enabling near-instant resume when switching between applications.
The report adds that this approach—using software optimization to deliver a hardware-tier leap in user experience—was previously introduced with the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition. At the time, the technology allowed a device with 16GB of physical memory to achieve a level of smoothness comparable to 20GB, drawing significant attention across the industry.
Meanwhile, MyDrivers also notes that the Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max feature the Kirin 9030S processor. Through vertical integration of software, hardware, and chip design, overall device performance is improved by 25%.
