Samsung has officially unveiled its long-awaited Exynos 2600, developed by its Device Solutions (DS) division and manufactured by Samsung Foundry. According to Business Post, the Exynos 2600 is the industry’s first application processor built on a 2nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) process. On the 19th, Samsung published detailed specifications on its official website, listing the chip’s status as “mass production.”

This development is widely interpreted as a sign that yields have improved sufficiently to support large-scale manufacturing, according to Aju News. Industry sources estimate the Exynos 2600’s yield at roughly 60% or higher, the report adds.

The chip is expected to deliver substantial improvements over its predecessor. Hankyung reports that CPU performance is up to 39% higher than that of the Exynos 2500, driven by a deca-core design based on the latest Arm architecture, while generative AI performance has increased by 113%, supported by a more powerful neural processing unit (NPU).

In terms of thermal management, Business Post also notes that Samsung has, for the first time in a mobile system-on-chip (SoC), introduced a Heat Path Block (HPB), which reduces thermal resistance by up to 16% and helps maintain more stable internal temperatures under heavy workloads.

In addition, the Exynos 2600 supports ultra-high-resolution cameras of up to 320 megapixels and includes features such as an AI-based Visual Perception System (VPS). It also supports hybrid post-quantum cryptography (PQC), enhancing on-device security, Business Post adds.

Samsung is widely expected to deploy the chip in its flagship Galaxy S26 series, with an early-2026 launch anticipated, Aju News notes. Meanwhile, Business Post reports that Samsung Electronics plans to unveil the new lineup at its “Galaxy Unpacked 2026” event, to be held in the United States in late February 2026.
