[News] MediaTek Tops 2024 Non-Managerial Pay Rankings at NT$4.31M in Taiwan; TSMC Ranks 7th

According to a report from TechNews, Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) has released salary information of non-managerial full- time employees of domestic listed companies for 2024. MediaTek topped the list with an average annual salary of NT$4.31 million for non-managerial staff—the only listed company where this figure exceeded NT$4 million.

Based on TWSE statistics, TSMC ranked seventh with an average of NT$3.391 million, while Foxconn fell just outside the top ten, placing eleventh at NT$2.67 million.

In addition, according to TWSE, in 2024, Realtek Semiconductor ranked second in average salary for non-managerial employees at NT$3.915 million, while Airoha Technology—a key subsidiary of the MediaTek Group—ranked third at NT$3.571 million.

As for median salaries among non-managerial employees in 2024, MediaTek ranked first at NT$3.438 million. TSMC placed fifth with NT$2.645 million, while Foxconn’s median salary was NT$1.937 million.

As TechNews notes, the TWSE figures exclude managerial positions, part-time staff, and other non-standard employment, focusing solely on the compensation of regular full-time employees. Notably, eight companies where non-managerial staff earned average salaries exceeding NT$3 million were from the semiconductor sector. Economic Daily News further points out that, apart from TSMC—which operates in foundry manufacturing—the rest are all IC design companies.
