According to The Verge, citing Bloomberg, Apple is reportedly planning to launch an iPhone with an “almost all-glass, curved design” in 2027, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the iPhone.

The Verge also notes that this potential product may be linked to an earlier report from The Information, which claimed that Apple’s 2027 iPhone could feature an under-display front camera to enable a truly edge-to-edge screen. Meanwhile, The Elec also reported last year that Apple is working with display suppliers on a bezel-less iPhone—not with the curved-edge screens seen on devices from Samsung or Vivo, as The Verge mentions.

While the iPhone 15 Pro already features extensive glass coverage with only the lens area and titanium frame using metal, the closest concept to this potential model might be a 2019 Apple patent, which describes a phone with a continuous glass enclosure forming a seamless, wraparound body, as indicated by The Verge.

Apple Gears Up for a Big 2027: Smart Glasses, Foldable iPhone, AI Robot & More

The Verge, citing Bloomberg, states that 2027 could mark a major year of product expansion for Apple. Among the standout innovations is a pair of smart glasses designed to rival Meta’s Ray-Ban model, as the report notes.

Apple is reportedly making progress on a custom chip for the smart glasses, with mass production expected by the end of next year or in 2027, according to Bloomberg. As with Apple’s other key chips, manufacturing will be handled by its longtime partner TSMC, Bloomberg adds.

Other products that could launch in 2027 include the company’s first foldable iPhone, AirPods rumored to feature built-in cameras, a new Apple Watch, and a highly anticipated desktop AI robot equipped with an assistant featuring its own personality, as The Verge highlights.

The report also notes that by 2027, Apple may introduce a fully redesigned Siri powered by large language models, alongside the development of its own AI server chip.

That chip is reportedly being designed by Apple’s Israel-based semiconductor team—the same group behind Apple Silicon, which enabled the company to move away from Intel in 2020, as noted by The Information cited by The Verge. Apple is reportedly working with Broadcom on the chip to reduce reliance on NVIDIA, and the chip is expected to be built using TSMC’s advanced N3P process, according to Commercial Times, citing The Information.
