[News] YMTC Consumer Brand ZHITAI Unveils Three SSDs at COMPUTEX, Powered by Xtacking® 3D NAND
While Chinese NAND major YMTC is reportedly accelerating its domestic expansion, it is also strengthening its push into the consumer segment through its ZHITAI brand. At COMPUTEX 2026, ZHITAI is expected to unveil three next-generation SSDs, including the flagship TiPro9000, the high-performance TiPlus9100, and the TiPlus7100s, all powered by YMTC’s proprietary “Xtacking®” 3D NAND architecture, according to its press release.
Frank Fan, Head of Retail Business at YMTC, emphasized that the Asia-Pacific region is becoming a key driver of demand for high-performance memory upgrades in the press release. Notably, he added that ZHITAI plans to expand beyond COMPUTEX into markets such as South Korea and Singapore, further broadening access to its high-performance product portfolio.
As highlighted by IT Home, the TiPro9000 marks ZHITAI’s first flagship PCIe 5.0 SSD, delivering peak sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s. It pairs an independent DRAM architecture with an intelligent SLC caching mechanism, significantly enhancing read/write efficiency and overall data throughput.
According to information released on the COMPUTEX website, the TiPro9000 also delivers major gains in random performance, reaching up to 2,000K IOPS in 4K random read (2TB), a 135% increase over its predecessor. Random write performance climbs to 1,600K IOPS (2TB), up 52%, further improving system responsiveness and accelerating application launches and download speeds.
Meanwhile, the TiPlus9100, positioned for gamers seeking Gen5 performance, is the first PCIe 5.0 model in the TiPlus lineup, offering sequential read speeds of up to 12,000 MB/s, according to the company.
The TiPlus7100s, by contrast, targets the mainstream PCIe 4.0 segment, delivering sequential read speeds of up to 7,400 MB/s. It adopts a single-sided NAND design focused on lower power consumption, reduced heat output, and improved endurance, making it suitable for upgrading legacy PCs as well as expanding storage on gaming consoles such as the PS5, the company said.
