According to 9to5Mac, Apple has several upcoming products slated for release before the end of the year. Here’s a quick overview of what’s expected to launch.
iPhone 17 Series
To start, 9to5Mac reports that the iPhone 17 series is expected to attract increased attention this year. The Plus model will be discontinued, making way for a new iPhone Air, and Apple may rebrand the Pro Max—potentially introducing the first-ever iPhone Ultra.
As noted by another report from 9to5Mac, leaker Digital Chat Station recently shared rumored details on Weibo about the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup: all models are expected to feature slimmer bezels—unlike last year, when only the Pro versions did—and a redesigned Dynamic Island UI is reportedly in development.
M5 Macs and iPads
9to5Mac notes that while Apple has already launched several new iPads and Macs this year, more are on the way—including the first devices powered by the M5 chip. These reportedly include an M5 MacBook Pro, an M5 iPad Pro, and a new Mac Pro expected to use the M3 Ultra chip. Notably, an ETNews report adds that Apple has begun mass production of the M5 chip in January 2025, using TSMC’s 3nm process.
Apple’s Wearables Set for Major Updates
As 9to5Mac highlights, Apple’s wearables lineup is expected to see major updates this fall, including the highly anticipated arrival of new Apple Watch Ultra and AirPods Pro models.
For the Apple Watch, 9to5Mac notes that upcoming models may include the Apple Watch Ultra 3—with hypertension monitoring and possible satellite support—alongside the Apple Watch Series 11 and SE 3.
Meanwhile, the AirPods Pro 3 are also in development, though their launch may be delayed until 2026, according to 9to5Mac.
Apple Home Products and Others
In addition to the products mentioned above, 9to5Mac indicates that Apple is preparing to launch new Home devices. These include a new Apple TV 4K, which is expected to support Apple Intelligence features; a HomePod mini 2; and a potential new product dubbed the “HomePad”—a smart home command center running homeOS, while the timing for the HomePad remains uncertain.
Beyond Apple’s Home products, 9to5Mac also reports that the company may introduce several other devices, including a new AirTag, a Studio Display 2 featuring miniLED, and notably, an M5-powered Vision Pro. Additionally, 9to5Mac notes that Apple is rumored to be preparing a second-generation Pro Display XDR, which could launch later this year or soon after—potentially aligning with the debut of the new Mac Pro.
