[News] ASUS Reportedly Sees Q3 PC Prices Rise by Around 5%, With Cumulative Gain Reaching 30% Since 4Q25
As PC giant Lenovo is reportedly set to raise prices across its product lineup from July, the second-half pricing trajectory remains in focus. According to Economic Daily News, citing ASUS Systems Business General Manager Liao Yi-Hsiang, PC prices are expected to continue edging up in Q3, but only at a single-digit pace. Commercial Times reports a similar view, pointing to a roughly 5% increase.
As noted by Economic Daily News, PC prices have continued to rise this year amid ongoing shortages and price increases in memory, CPUs, and SSDs. ASUS also adjusted prices in both Q1 and Q2 in the Taiwan market under the same cost pressure, the report suggests.
Liao, cited by Commercial Times, added that higher ASPs have supported revenue growth for ASUS and peers. PC prices have already risen about 30% from end-2025 to Q2 this year, and are expected to climb further in Q3, bringing the cumulative increase to roughly 35%, according to the report.
A similar industry tone is also echoed by Acer. A separate Economic Daily News report, citing Acer Chairman Jason Chen, notes that the pace of PC component price increases has already begun to slow, but there are still no signs of price declines. Against this backdrop of moderating cost inflation but still-elevated price levels, he expects PC demand to remain under pressure, with overall shipment volumes potentially declining in the second half of 2026, the report adds.
Global PC Vendors Step Up Price Adjustments
Global PC vendors have already been gearing up for a new round of price adjustments. Chinese media outlet Lanjinger.com, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported in mid-June that Lenovo plans to raise prices across its product lineup from July, after the 618 shopping festival ends.
Notably, Lanjinger.com highlights this would not be Lenovo’s first price hike this year, pointing to March when the PC maker issued nationwide price adjustment notices and raised retail prices for some models by over RMB 1,000.
The pricing pressure is spreading across the PC industry. Dell, as highlighted by the report, has already raised prices on certain products as well, with server prices increasing 20%–40%. Prices for desktops, notebooks, and workstations are also expected to see further significant hikes by July, the report suggests.
