[News] Meta’s Chief AI Scientist Yann LeCun to Step down and Start a Business

On November 19, Meta’s chief AI scientist and deep learning pioneer, Yann LeCun, announced that he plans to leave the company at the end of this year and found a new AI start-up.

Together with Yoshua Bengi and Geoffrey Hinton, Yann received 2018 ACM Tuning Award for“conceptual and engineering breakthroughs that have made deep neural network a critical part of computing.” The trio are widely known as the “fathers of deep learning.”
