[Insights] Memory Spot Price Update: DRAM Market Quiet Amid Holidays; NAND Buying Stays Weak

2026-09-30 Semiconductors editor

The DRAM spot market remained relatively quiet this week, partly due to holidays in several regional markets, while buyers stayed conservative and prices fluctuated within a narrow range. The average spot price of mainstream DRAM chips (i.e., DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s) rose 0.93% from US$45.89 last week (September 23) to US$46.32 this week (September 29). NAND sellers offered greater pricing flexibility to stimulate shipments, but buyers largely remained on the sidelines amid a cautious market outlook, leaving purchasing momentum weak. Spot prices of 512Gb TLC wafers fell 2.45% this week (September 28), reaching an average quotation of US$19.396.

DRAM Spot Price:

Impacted by holidays in several regional markets, the DRAM spot market has been relatively quiet this week. Spot prices on the whole have been fluctuating within a narrow range, and buyers’ sentiment have remained conservative. Overall trading has been sluggish. The average spot price of mainstream chips (i.e., DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s) has increased by 0.93% from US$45.89 last week (September 23) to US$46.32 this week (September 29).

NAND Flash Spot Price:

Consumer end-demand has yet to show signs of improvement, with spot prices remaining in a narrow consolidation range and limited price fluctuations. Although sellers have loosened their quotes and increased price flexibility to stimulate shipments, buyers remain conservative on the market outlook and have largely adopted a wait-and-see stance with low willingness to purchase. As a result, actual purchasing momentum remains weak, and overall trading activity continues to be subdued. Spot prices of 512Gb TLC wafers dropped by 2.45% this week (September 28), arriving at US$19.396 in average quotations.
