January 17, 2012 ---According to DRAMeXchange, a research department of Trendforce, as the Chinese New Year long vacation approaches, the NAND Flash market is currently experiencing a wait-and-see atmosphere.
According to LEDinside, a research division of TrendForce, the revenues of Taiwanese listed LED manufacturers totaled NT$ 6.54 billion (MoM-11.99%, YoY-19.6%).
According to DRAMeXchange, a research division of TrendForce, 1HJan. contract price stayed flat. Average DDR3 4GB and DDR3 2GB prices held at US$16.5 and US$9.25, respectively. However, concluded transaction prices are gradually transitioning from low to average figures.
LEDinside, the LED research division of TrendForce, indicates that affected by the month-end inventory adjustment and the dreary end-market demand, most LED manufacturers’ revenues underwent setbacks, averaging between 10% and 15%.
Heading into the end of 2011, Elpida’s financial difficulties were revealed. Rumors abounded, not only of Elpida seeking a bailout from the Japanese government, but also of Toshiba stepping up to take over. If this rumor is true, Elpida will be the first maker to fall in the harsh DRAM winter.
