Mid-power LED shortages eased in 3Q13, due to increasing LED suppliers, according to LEDinside, an LED research division of international research organization TrendForce.
According to LEDinside, a research division of TrendForce, in July 2013, the total revenues of LED companies listed on Taiwan’s stock market reached NT$ 10.95 billion (US$ 366 million), with a Year on Year (YOY) increase of 24.9% and a Month-Over-Month (MOM) growth of 4.24%.
Starting from 2012-2014, bans on incandescent lights has led to the gradual entry of LED products in the residential lighting markets, according to a latest search report by LEDinside, a research division of TrendForce.
In 2013, LED package industry in China still grows very fast. Take Refond, a representative company of medium-large size LED package manufacture, for example, their revenue in the first half of 2013 meet RMB 294 millions, 67% higher on a year-on-year basis.
The global 40W equiv. LED lamps Average Selling Price (ASP) dropped 2.7% to USD 15.6 in June 2013, according to a recent LED lamp retail survey by LEDinside, a research subsidiary of TrendForce. Overall regional market prices continued to fall steadily, in which China’s decline was the most evident.
