[Insights] Memory Spot Price Update: Mainstream DDR4 Prices Dip 0.09% as Spot Premium Keeps Buyers on Sidelines

2026-11-04 Semiconductors editor

According to TrendForce’s latest memory spot price trend report, DRAM trends diverged this week. Delivery pressures prompted some DDR5 buyers to raise target prices, while DDR4 spot prices remained above suppliers’ official quotes despite weak demand, fueling correction expectations. Against this backdrop, mainstream DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s spot prices dipped 0.09% amid shrinking trading volumes. In NAND Flash, Double 11 discounts are unlikely to revive demand amid economic uncertainty and purchases pulled forward into 1H26. With buyers remaining cautious, 512Gb TLC wafer spot prices fell 4.33% this week. Details are as follows:

DRAM Spot Price:

Spot market momentum diverged this week. For DDR5 chips, some buyers raised target procurement prices under delivery pressure. However, high component costs have compressed buyers’ profit margins, so the willingness to chase higher prices has been limited. As for DDR4 chips, with spot prices exceeding suppliers’ official prices amid sluggish end-market demand, buyers generally believe prices have room for corrections. Hence, they have taken a wait-and-see stance instead of chasing higher prices, and this has also caused trading volumes to shrink significantly. The average spot price of the mainstream chips (i.e., DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s) slightly decreased by 0.09% from US$46.86 last week (October 28) to US$46.82 this week (November 3).

NAND Flash Spot Price:

Although the Double 11 promotion period is approaching, market participants generally expect that price discounts alone will struggle to stimulate consumer electronics demand effectively, given inflationary pressures, geopolitical and economic uncertainties, and the fact that some upgrade demand was already pulled forward in 1H26. As a result, with weak buyer appetite, sellers are expected to continue adjusting prices flexibly to move inventory. Spot prices of 512Gb TLC wafers dropped by 4.33% this week (November 2), with average quotations arriving at US$16.152.
