The newest panel price report from WitsView, a division of TrendForce, shows the TV market outlook for the upcoming second quarter is optimistic, but there are some jitters as well. A positive indicator is that as the market enters the second quarter, new product models will be launched, and retailers are expected to stock up, initiating a wave of demands.
China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) announced on March 16 that it has revised the country’s overall PV installation target from the original 15GW to 17.8GW. The newest display panel shipment report from WitsView, a division of TrendForce, states that the February shipments of large-size panels totaled 56.71M units. This a 13% drop compared with the previous month and a 1.9% drop compared with the same period of the prior year.
