The LED industrial lighting market has enjoyed accelerated growth in recent years owing to the rising demand worldwide and government subsidies, says LEDinside, a division of TrendForce. According to LEDinside’s latest report, 2016 Industrial Lighting: Explosion-Proof Lamps, the market of LED industrial lighting is forecast to grow from US$2.93 billion in 2016 to US$5.20 billion in 2020, representing a CAGR of over 15% during the five-year period.
Set against the prior quarter, the contract prices of NAND Flash memory chips fell by 9~10% in the fourth quarter of 2015 as the market experienced oversupply. Prices of eMMC and SSD products also fell by 10~11% quarterly due to shipments of OEM devices - such as smartphones, tablets and notebooks - being weaker than expected in the same period.
WitsView, a division of TrendForce, reports that large-size LCD panel shipments for this January totaled 57.47 million units, down 16.8% from a month ago. Most panel makers posted declining results, but Panasonic LCD and Sharp were able to grow their shipments against market headwinds because they had shorter base periods.
