[Insights] Memory Spot Price Update: DRAM Spot Largely Sideways as Holidays, Month-End Effects Weigh

2026-10-07 Semiconductors editor

According to TrendForce’s latest memory spot price trend report, regional holidays and end-of-month effects dampened inquiries and quotations, leaving DRAM spot trading sluggish and prices moving largely sideways. In NAND flash, module houses—the market’s largest buyers—remain weighed down by weak demand and high inventories, with 512Gb TLC wafer spot prices down 2.9% this week. Details are as follows:

DRAM Spot Price:

Consistent with last week, regional holidays and end-of-month effects dampened inquiries and quotation activities in the DRAM spot market, leading to sluggish trading. Chip spot prices on the whole are moving sideways. The average spot price of the mainstream chips (i.e., DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s) has not changed from last week and is holding steady at US$ 46.32 (October 6).

NAND Flash Spot Price:

Transaction volumes remain sluggish in the spot market, as the largest buyer, module houses, continue to face weak demand and elevated inventory levels. Sellers have come to realize that even offering price concessions may not generate additional demand, causing prices to stay in a consolidation phase with limited movement. Spot prices of 512Gb TLC wafers dropped by 2.90% this week (October 5), arriving at US$18.833.
