As the global economy has been weaker than expected in the second half of 2012, PC shipment forecasts have continually seen downward adjustment: from the optimistic 4-5% growth projected in the beginning of the year to the current -2.5%, and it is highly likely PC shipment figures will see further decline. The DRAM market, already suffering from oversupply, has been hit hard by the economic downturn, with DRAM prices falling since July. 4GB module price has fallen from this year’s high of US$21.5 to the current low of US$17, a decrease of more than 20%...
